Strength Shop Kettlebells Review

Strength Shop Kettlebells – Honest Review (2025)

Kettlebells. Love ’em or hate ’em, they are a staple of strength and conditioning workouts of all shapes and sizes.

Whether you’re pressing them overhead or swinging them and cursing your decisions in life, chances are you’ve used one of these heavy metal balls with a handle.

Today, in our Strength Shop Kettlebells review, we’re looking at these no-nonsense cast-iron kettlebells, asking whether they are worth the mid-range price tag.

▶️QUICK SUMMARY◀️

It’s difficult to have a bad word to say about these kettlebells. They look badass, they feel comfortable and they are built to last. While they aren’t the cheapest on the market, they would suit any gym, home or commercial. Rating: 9/10

What are they?

These are classic kettlebells made by the brand, Strength Shop. They come in kilogram (kg) options, ranging from 4kg right up to a beastly 64kg.

I opted for the 10kg and the 28kg kettlebells, which is more than enough weight for home workouts. I may eventually stump up for a 14kg kettlebell too, which would offer even more versatility.

What do they look like?

I have to say, I absolutely love the timeless aesthetic of these kettlebells. The simple design and black powder coating just scream “old-school” and will fit any gym style.

Being a kettlebell, there’s not too much to discuss in terms of design. On one side you’ll find an engraved Strength Shop logo and on the other is the weight denomination.

With no colour, you may have to double check you are using the correct weight. However, in recent months, the brand has added a colour marking on the handles for easier recognition.

Personally I prefer them without any colour, but at least these markings will make it easier to quickly identify the weight.

What features can you expect?

These are kettlebells and therefore the features are basic.

The biggest positive is that these are single-piece cast-iron kettlebells, so there’s no gluing or welding. This means the finished product is super durable and free from seams and rough edges.

I like the handles, which are wide enough for a huge hand, and can be gripped comfortably by two hands. The black powder coating feels good in the hand, adding some grip. (Because nobody wants to see a 28kg kettlebell fly across the room during a swing…).

Are they any good?

Yes, these kettlebells are exceptional. I’ve used them at home for many years and have never regretted my purchase.

They are very durable, verging on the indestructible. This makes them ideal for both home gyms and commercial use. You’d be hard pushed to break them – it seems impossible.

Are they good value?

I’d say so. Pound for pound, you can find cheaper kettlebells, but you will probably compromise on quality. These Strength Shop kettlebells sit in the mid-range, with solid quality at a reasonable price.

For example, the 28kg Strength Shop kettlebell reviewed here is priced at around £75. This rubberized kettlebell from a different brand is £60 for the same weight. Saving £15 is nice, but you don’t get the same durability or aesthetic.

Heading to Rogue in the higher end of the market and you will pay around £82 for a 28kg kettlebell. That’s a good product but, let’s face it: with Rogue you’re paying an extra £7 for the brand name.

For me, this Strength Shop kettlebell strikes a nice balance between high-quality and good value.

They are durable, look great, and feel solid during use. If you don’t mind paying more than the most basic kettlebells, you’ll be rewarded with equipment that will probably last a lifetime.
