Before I begin my Mirafit dumbbells review, let me ask you: do you remember the global pandemic and lockdowns?
Of course you do… what a fun time we all had. 🙄
For me, the worst thing about these lockdowns was the closure of gyms. Naturally, this meant that everyone was working out at home, which in turn meant that buying gym equipment was either a) very expensive, or b) impossible.
Fortunately, around this time I stumbled across the brand Mirafit. “Oh my gosh, they are actually selling dumbbells,” I said, through tears of joy. “…and at a reasonable price!”
It didn’t seem as if Mirafit were price gouging, and for that reason I instantly made my purchase.
My pair of 10kg dumbbells arrived and they were excellent. I used them to death, and still have them nearly five years later. It’s finally time to give them the review they deserve.
▶️QUICK SUMMARY◀️
These are a solid dumbbell option that’s perfect for home use. They are relatively durable, have strong aesthetics, and feel comfortable to use. They may not be durable enough for a commercial gym, although I am happy to be proved wrong! Rating: 8/10
What are they?
These are simply dumbbells made by the British brand, Mirafit. While the brand offer several types (including hex dumbbells), this review is for the round rubber dumbbells, which have a timeless look.
They come in kilogram (kg) weights, ranging from 2.5kg to 50kg per dumbbell, purchased in pairs or complete sets.

What do they look like?
Again, these are chunky, round dumbbells with Mirafit’s distinctive orange and white highlights. Whether or not this fits your aesthetic is down to you, but I like it.
Around the same time as buying these, I bought a Mirafit utility bench and a slam ball. They all have the same orange detailing, so these dumbbells match and create a nice aesthetic in my home gym/cluttered office.
One thing I appreciate is that the weight denomination is clearly labeled on the side. The contrast between the orange number and black rubber works well, and you can see at a glance what you are picking up.
What features can you expect?
Come on, these are dumbbells… the features are pretty minimal. What you see is what you get.
I do like the solid steel handle (32mm), which is well knurled but not too too lethal. This offer a nice grip without destroying your hands.
The rubber ends are thick and durable. This is a hard rubber, so feels like they can take a drop or two without scuffing or breaking.

Are they any good?
In short, yes they are great.
I bought a pair of 10kg dumbbells during lockdown and liked them so much that I instantly grabbed another pair of 5kg and 25kg dumbbells. (The delivery driver wasn’t happy).
They are solid for home use. If you were planning to use them in a gym setting, I would consider a different set. The side panels feel like they could eventually fall off, and the white lettering marks a little easily.
Again, this is fine for home use, but I probably wouldn’t buy them for use in a commercial gym.
Are they good value?
Even during lockdown, when the price of everything was inflated, these dumbbells still felt like pretty good value. Considering you can now buy a set from 5kg to 20kg for under ÂŁ300 ($400 for our American friends), it’s an even better prospect.
A pair of 10kg dumbbells from Mirafit are priced at ÂŁ65. The truth is that you can buy cheaper dumbbells. For example, the 10kg pair of hex dumbbells from Mirafit is ÂŁ5 cheaper (at ÂŁ60), while a pair of York Hex Dumbbells is just ÂŁ50.
So they aren’t the cheapest dumbbell brand out there, but neither are they the most expensive. Overall, the quality feels worthy of the price, so value is high.

The final verdict on Mirafit dumbbells
Mirafit is a brand I have used for many years and will happily buy from again. These dumbbells feel well made, comfortable to use, and do the job you need at a price that feels reasonable.
Overall, very few complaints. Want a score out of 10? I’d give it them a solid 8/10.
As I mentioned, this is an honest review. I bought these dumbbells with my own money and am not making any money from this article. You can buy them directly on the Mirafit website if you like.
